thesis

Phytochemicals, naturally occurring plant-based compounds, are well-known for their diverse bioactivities and pose beneficial pharmaceutical value. They can synergistically potentiate antibiotics which improve the antibiotic efficacy, but the mechanism of synergy is understudied. Given the wide variety of phytochemicals, this thesis uses a systematic approach to examine the structure-activity relationship of phytochemicals in potentiating antibiotics via synergy.
