'Strange Bedfellows' is an investigation that records and documents Australian Community Tapestry and demonstrates it is a distinct art movement which emerged and developed in Australia from the 1980s. Community Tapestry was also found to be a defining element which must be considered, alongside workshop and artist-weaver practices, to fully apprehend the rich history and character of Australian Tapestry.
