Stifling Magnesium Corrosion via an Advanced Anodic Coating

This thesis presents a novel anodic coating system upon magnesium alloys. It examines the feasibility of applying a lanthanum coating to sacrificially protect magnesium alloys.It also investigates the performance of four types of conversion coating on top of the lanthanum coating to prolong the lifespan of the coating system.
