This study examined the intersection between science and ethics in Australian secondary school education. It analysed curricula, textbooks and beginning teachers’ views through speculative fiction methods and posthumanist theory. It proposes that de-centreing the human, and attending to diverse ways-of-knowing in everyday contexts, potentially enriches the science/ethics nexus.
