Solution-based Wet Chemistry Gold Surface Coating for Soft Bioelectronics

This thesis successfully develop a general, solution-based, bottom-up wet chemistry gold surface coating strategy under mild conditions to construct strain-insensitive conductive fibers and highly stretchable conductive hydrogels, which demonstrates the applications in wearable chemical bio-sensing. The biocompatibility, chemical inertness, and facile chemical functionalities of AuNW materials indicate that our strategy may lead to a myriad of technical applications in the burgeoning field of soft bioelectronics for healthcare and human-machine interactions.
