Socially-Aware Mobile Robot Navigation

This thesis develops new approaches for robots to navigate safely and naturally around people. It uses machine learning to helps robots to plan their movement while considering obstacles, human behavior, and also adapts to different social situations. Tests in simulations and real-world environments show fewer collisions, more natural interactions, and better handling of varied human behavior.
