This thesis aimed to explore the outcomes for adults with autism, in terms of social and community inclusion, social satisfaction, and community participation, as well as the childhood and adulthood factors that predicted adult outcomes. The findings of this thesis highlighted that, for many adults with autism, social and community inclusion and participation is challenging. A number of childhood and adulthood factors were found to be associated with adult outcomes. Areas for intervention and resources to support inclusion are discussed.
