Smooth Muscle Contractility in the Normal and Diseased Human Prostate

This thesis examines the role of smooth muscle contractions in the human prostate, and their alteration in disease. It identifies novel regulators of smooth muscle tone, and suggests new pharmacological options for the treatment of non-malignant prostate disease.
