One of the more apparent consequences of sea level rise in coastal zone is the increased migration of salt water inland. This study investigates the intrusion of the salt water in coastal rivers in the south west region of Bangladesh. An existing Hydrodynamic model is used and new components have been developed to integrate: river and floodplain salinity transports. The Integrated model have been validated and applied to the study area. The results have been found to be consistent in estimating river flow and salinity. The Integrated model discloses a model that considers major components of the hydrologic cycle.
