Role of the transcription factor Jun in inflammation and fibrosis in the kidney

The protein Jun acts to regulate the expression of a number of specific genes. This study is the first to identify that Jun induces expression of genes involved in the fibrotic response in the kidney. This identifies Jun as a new therapeutic target in the treatment of kidney disease.
