Risk Prediction Modelling: Application in Cardiovascular Diseases

This study added new knowledge to the existing literature by developing and validating novel short- and long-term risk models to improve outcomes prediction in cardiovascular diseases including cardiac surgical and hypertensive patient populations. This study used data from Australia, Japan, and Germany to develop four different novel risk prediction models with adequate and well accepted statistical methods to help clinicians, surgeons and health professionals identify patients at high cardiovascular risk. These models have applications for patient counselling and clinical decision making in identifying those at highest risk.
