thesis
posted on 2022-03-01, 05:34 authored by LAUREN LIBESON
This research investigated the difficulties experienced and the factors that limited and facilitated the return to work and long-term employment following traumatic brain injury, of individuals who received comprehensive vocational rehabilitation. Findings highlighted the importance of traumatic brain injury specialised vocational and multidisciplinary rehabilitation, employer support and maximising time for adjustment, education and preparation before returning to work. The research and development undertaken in this PhD has provided novel insights and demonstrated the potential of exciting new ways to further support the return to work process, not only for individuals with traumatic brain injury but across the broader rehabilitation spectrum.
