Research on the Development and Management of Online Fitness Services

thesis
posted on 2024-07-10, 23:56 authored by JI FANG
This research project investigates the challenging issues stemming from the widespread adoption of the Internet of Things (IoT) by almost all healthcare service providers in recognising the heterogeneity of user attributes. From the perspective of a service provider, an innovative business model is needed to achieve a win-win outcome between the service provider and a high-quality user experience. However, the unique characteristics of users, eg., their physical heterogeneity, changing exercise preferences, and unpredictable behaviour, present challenges for health information systems. The thesis explored the current developments in online fitness services, focusing on the integration of IoT and Artificial Intelligence methodologies.
