This thesis aimed to provide the most comprehensive examination of sleep disturbance in refugees by: 1) describing the extent of sleep disturbance in refugee population using self-report and objective measures; 2) investigating factors associated with sleep disturbance and at 12-month follow-up; and 3) evaluating conceptual models that explore the relationship between trauma exposure, sleep disturbance, post-migration stress, and mental health symptoms.
