thesis
posted on 2022-02-16, 22:19 authored by RABEEH GOLMOHAMMADZADEH
The main aim of this research is to investigate an environmentally friendly and cost-effective approach for recycling all the components in spent lithium ion batteries with mixed chemistry. This is through three main chapters of recovery and re-utilisation of graphite from spent LIBs as energy storage electrodes, the removal of PVDF binder from spent LIBs using green solvents, and the selective recovery of metal oxides from spent LIBs using choline-chloride based deep eutectic solvents.
