In recent years, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged from its traditional domain of computer science research to be a management reality. Given the unique nature of AI regarding their values, resources, and technical knowledge, a theoretical structure for AI adoption needs to take into account the necessary capabilities to manage and adapt such innovation. This thesis is a study of AI adoption in Australia from an organisation's perspective. This research has presented a new framework for understanding the factors that contribute to the willingness of organisations to adopt AI. This research offers a number of important recommendations for AI adoption, it also proposes future directions for research in this area.
