The thermal stability of conducting polypyrrole (PPy) and the effects of acid and base treatment on the polymer structure have been investigated. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), conductivity measurements, bulk elemental analysis and X-ray diffraction (XRD) were utilised to study the chemical and physical changes arising from the different treatments and subsequent thermal ageing.[…]
