This thesis focuses on addressing privacy and security risks associated with genomic data by proposing models and methods that enable private and secure storage, processing, and querying genomic data using cryptography and consent-based access control features. The proposed models and methods provide practical solutions to the challenges of securely performing queries on outsourced genomic data in an encrypted form, ensuring privacy, security, and maintaining the ownership of data and consent. This research offers these approaches to securely handling genomic data, which is increasingly available due to advancements in DNA sequencing technology.
