Preload loss and long-term performance of bolted connections for structural disassembly and reusability

thesis
posted on 2024-04-24, 05:52 authored by KAI YANG
This thesis investigates the preload loss and long-term performance of bolted joints considering different bolt types (i.e. plain bolt, galvanised bolt, stainless steel bolt and glass fibre reinforced polymer bolt) and environmental scenarios (i.e. indoor, outdoor and seawater immersion), providing an understanding for the disassembly and potential of reuse for such bolted joints after long-term service under these environments.
