Porous Liquids: Design, synthesis, and applicability

thesis
posted on 2022-09-26, 01:11 authored by HAMIDREZA MAHDAVI
Porous liquids (PLs) are a new type of materials that mix the properties of fluids such as fluidity and speedy mass transfer with those of porous solids which includes permanent porosity and molecular sieving. They attract interests from both academia and industry due to their exceptional physicochemical properties. Since the first reports of porous liquids in recent years, intense research effort has been put into this new class of materials. PLs have applications in homogeneous catalysis, as novel reaction media, and in size-selective gas adsorption.
