This study takes a deep look into how ASEAN makes its policies, questioning common beliefs about the "ASEAN Way." Using modern political science, the research offers a fresh take on how ASEAN makes decisions. It shows the detailed ways ASEAN creates policies and how individual member countries balance their own needs with the group's goals. By looking at how ASEAN's methods compare to other national and global systems, the study gives a new perspective on how countries in the region work together. In simple terms, it highlights the flexibility and broad use of political science theories and concepts in different settings.
