Performance of Ionic Wind under Various Conditions
thesis
posted on 11.09.2017, 01:48 by JUN RONG LEEThe ionic wind is the movement of air generated at high voltages between a sharp electrode and a relatively large surfaced grounded electrode. As an ionic wind device is free of any mechanical parts, noise-free, compact and energy saving, it attracts the attention of various researchers as an alternative for many real life applications. This thesis presents the study of the effects of different environmental conditions such as air humidity and pressures on the ionic wind for better understanding of the fundamental of the ionic wind. The cooling applications and the function of ionic wind device as a microthruster are explored in the second section of the thesis.
