Peak Load Estimation due to Debris Flow During Tsunami and its Mitigation using Coastal Vegetation

The impact of tsunami laden debris is not well represented in the critical design of coastal structures in general. This thesis investigates the peak impact load during tsunami for varying structure orientation and also examines the effect of coastal vegetation as a defence system to mitigate these extreme loading.
