thesis
posted on 2024-12-02, 01:23 authored by Alyssa Jane Budin
This thesis explores how bariatric (weight-loss) procedures impact a patient's general health, quality of life, and psychosocial well-being. It includes studies investigating changes in physical health, general well-being, mood, eating behaviours, and substance use after surgery. It also includes several studies involving patients, surgeons, and allied health practitioners in the development of a new questionnaire to assess these outcomes via the Australia and New Zealand Bariatric Surgery Registry.
