This thesis investigates thrombosis formation in complex vascular systems using advanced simulation models. It incorporates blood flow, vessel walls, and catheter surface interactions to simulate thrombus dynamics in the superior vena cava and deep veins. The study demonstrates how optimizing catheter design, materials, and operating conditions reduces thrombus formation. These findings enhance understanding of vascular thrombosis and provide practical strategies for improving catheter performance in clinical applications.
