This thesis endeavour to provide a systematic investigation of a mechanistic approach to the optimisation of geomatical parameters for chemical vapour deposition (CVD) of high-quality and uniform graphene coating on copper, nickel and their alloys for significantly improving the corrosion resistance of the metallic substrates due to the resultant graphene coating. The findings of this thesis is crucial step for the industrial scale applications of graphene coating as a disruptive approach for unprecedented and durable corrosion resistance to metals and alloys.
