Radiation treatment for tongue and throat cancer causes side effects. These side effects make it hard for patients to eat and they sometimes feeding needs tubes put directly into their stomach, so food can be put directly in. This thesis aims to identify patients who may need feeding tubes and looks for ways to minimise this need. It also examines patients acceptance of feeding tubes.
