thesis
posted on 2018-09-13, 01:35 authored by MARK MORLEY
This doctoral research focuses on the legislative, sociological and political aspects of human rights in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, with specific regard to that country’s blasphemy legislation. This thesis contends that Pakistan’s blasphemy laws are a violation of a number of international human rights norms, in particular, norms found in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR). This thesis examines the impact of these blasphemy laws on minorities, particularly Christians.
