Thesis analyses how First Nations individuals connect and remain connected to their Country when they live Off Country for extended periods of time. It also examines how ceremony, language, spirituality can be maintained Off Country. It focusses on the Gunditjmara from Western Victoria, Australia and their techniques to remain connected. It also discusses language, Creation Narratives, ceremony, gender roles, cultural responsibilities and changing roles in modern day for members of a First Nation community, from birth to Eldership
