thesis
posted on 2020-08-11, 15:44 authored by LI-ANN HWANG
This thesis contributes to the understanding of the key factors that encourage computer-aided education amongst students from a vulnerable community in Malaysia, specifically, students from the bottom 40% of the income distribution from the Indian community. Drawing upon the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model, this thesis shows the factors that impact computer-aided learning, academic enthusiasm, and creativity amongst these students. Findings from this study provide valuable insights into the type of policies that educationists and parent-teacher associations can put in place to equip students from vulnerable communities to compete in an information-driven economy.
