Novel bio-based nano-capsule for targeted and controlled drug release

In this work, we tried to solve the most challenging issues of anticancer therapeutics. Although several very effective chemotherapeutic agents have been already developed, their applications are limited due to the severe side effects as the chemotherapeutics target not only the cancer cell but also kill the healthy cells. The nanoparticles prepared in this study were capable of entrapping multiple anticancer drugs and delivering the entrapped drugs to the cancer tissue precisely. Therefore, the prepared nanoparticle-based drug delivery vehicles have the potential to improve the cancer recovery and quality of life of cancer patients to a great extent.
