This thesis examines the role of non-state actors in mediating the policy positions of Malaysia and New Zealand when negotiating specific intellectual property provisions in the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Agreement. It identifies the type of actions taken by these actors and how they could constrain the negotiating flexibility of the studied countries.
