This mixed methods study used standardised and culturally adapted instruments as well as descriptive qualitative interviews to investigate how new graduate nurses in mainland China experience and cope with patient dying and death. This research makes a unique contribution to the field of new graduate nurses’ education and support needs in relation to death in the Chinese cultural context.
