NO and SO2 Removal by Cu/Fe Exchanged High Si/Al Ratio Linde Type A (LTA) Zeolite from High Temperature Gas Stream

thesis

This work focuses on the development of Fe/Cu exchanged high silica LTA zeolite to eliminate the environmentally harmful NO and SO2 in the high temperature (673 K) gas stream. To reach this goal, several computational and simulative methods were used to investigate the interactions and reaction mechanisms of active metals in the LTA structure with NO and SO2. This study will deepen the current understanding of gaseous reactions inside porous materials. The outcomes will further facilitate the development of zeolitic materials for pollution control and environmental catalysis.
