Molecular Plasticity of Microalgal Stress Response

This thesis tries to understand the physiological and molecular flexibility of Microchloropsis gaditana CCMP526 in response to high-saline conditions. We used OMICS (transcriptomic and proteomic) approaches to understand the dynamics and inter-play of genes and proteins involved in salinity response. RNA-Seq and proteomic analysis of salinity stressed M. gaditana revealed key genes and proteins involved in lipid, osmolyte, carbohydrate and energy metabolism pathways.​
