Modifying the core ring structure of noscapine in the search for novel anticancer agents

This thesis examines the effect of changing the chemical structure of the natural chemical noscapine on its anticancer activity. It identifies a new noscapine-related drug that can be further developed to see future use in cancer patients while limiting the negative side effects of chemotherapy.
