Glioblastoma multiforme is the most common and malignant primary brain tumor within the Central Nervous System and can regrow after chemotherapy by way of glioblastoma initiating cells. This study focused on modeling glioblastoma initiating cells from mouse brain and investigated the difference in enzyme expression and phosphorylation levels between normal and glioblastoma initiating neural stem cells. In addition, 26 novel SANT-1 derivatives and 63 novel noscapine derivatives were investigated as potential anti-cancer agents.
