Mitochondrial heterogeneity and sorting in mammalian oocytes and pre-implantation embryos

This is a project that studies the correlation between egg quality and mitochondrial function, investigates the mtDNA integrity in different mouse models that have defective mitochondria, and most important, explores if there is any mitochondrial sorting during early development.
