Nickel-based superalloy manufactured by selective laser melting exhibits insufficient creep rupture properties, which limits the capability of the SLM alloy for elevated temperature loading applications. This thesis develops a comprehensive understanding of the high temperature creep behavior of the SLM IN738LC alloy and provides practical knowledge to improve its creep resistance through the microstructural modification.
