Medication use problems of older adults at primary care level: Evaluating the feasibility of community pharmacy-based intervention in Penang, Malaysia

thesis
posted on 2024-05-02, 01:08 authored by CHRISTINA MALINI CHRISTOPHER
Older adults are high users of medications as they tend to have several health problems. As such, older adults have problems taking medications on time, collecting medications, having difficulties administering medications and many more. Community pharmacies in Malaysia can provide an opportunity to solve medication use-related problems as older adults often go there first if there are any healthcare issues. This thesis details older adults' difficulties while taking medication at public and private clinics and community pharmacies and the practicality of providing an intervention to reduce such problems.
