Electrochemistry is the branch of chemistry that considers the relationship between electrical and chemical effects in an electrochemical reaction. Thermodynamic and kinetic parameters that describe the behaviour of the electrochemical reaction is the main concern of this thesis. Electrochemical reduction of polyoxometalate has been studied using several electroanalytical techniques. Subtle departures from the theory based on a simple electron transfer reaction mechanism were evident, and the reasons behind these were discussed accordingly.
