Making a Name for Herself: AM Stuart and Doreen Landis-Lee

thesis
posted on 2022-07-08, 02:15 authored by AMY MAY STUART

Making a Name for Herself is a parafictional investigation of the destabilising effects of both parafictions and art forgery. Through the narrative of a fictional art forger, Mari Matsumoto, the thesis attempts to disturb the nationalistic, settler-colonial legacy of Australian Impressionist painter Frederick McCubbin.
