Liminal narratives - the storying of records creation

thesis
posted on 2023-11-20, 07:14 authored by SEREN ELISABETH WENDELKEN
The aim of this research is to understand how records about children come to be created the way they are. I explore records creation practices from the standpoint of Learning Support Co-ordinators (LSCs). I utilise an institutional ethnographic approach to explore the centrality of records creation to the determination of everyday life experience. Records continuum thinking and concepts of narrativity act as points of reference that I use to underpin and explicate my developing understanding of records creation as a central practice in the information culture of LSCs.
