This case study documents my shared learning journey over 20 years alongside the Ngaanyatjarra families in the development of their requested ‘learning for school’ program. With the graduates of the first few years now the family adults bringing their children to this learning program, the findings demonstrate that through shared participation in this program, with the family adults as the teachers, within their home language and their cultural ways, and with the assistance of an experienced learning program facilitator/ educator, this program enables the Ngaanyatjarra family adults to prepare their children for the practices of the different culture of school.
