This study attempted to investigate the English language and study skill needs of learners studying English for Sciences at the Foundation Program in relation to the requirements of their future science colleges at Sultan Qaboos University, Oman. The study adopted a mixed methods design through which validated questionnaires, semi-structured interviews and document analyses were used to survey the perceptions of these learners and their future science college teachers on this issue. The study can contribute to improving the quality of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) teaching in higher education institutions in this setting and ones with similar circumstances elsewhere.
