Knot Theory from Flows

This thesis examines the geometry of Lorenz links and twisted torus links. These are important families of links, with the first being studied by mathematicians for more than 40 years and having possible application in meteorology. We find the geometry of new subfamilies of Lorenz links and twisted torus links. As a consequence, this thesis answers questions in the literature concerning Lorenz knots and twisted torus knots related to their geometry.
