This research investigates parental experiences of Iranian immigrant families in Australia with young children and intends to study their relationship with early childhood professionals in Melbournian childcare centres. The study questions stereotypical communications with Iranian families within early childhood communities by investigating the diversity among them. It also looks at the hopes and fears of Iranian immigrant parents regarding the future of their young children. Finally, the research explores different possibilities in listening to immigrant families, the role of intentionality in listening, and how it might affect the parent's sense of self and relationship with an early childhood professional.
