This thesis is about understanding molecular mechanisms that regulate plant morphology in response to mild fluctuations in temperature within non-stressful range. In my thesis, I attempted to understand the mechanism by which POWERDRESS (PWR), a component required for histone deacetylation regulates temperature response. I have undertaken a bioinformatics approach to understand how PWR regulates genomewide transcription profile in response to temperature, and what effect it potentially has on additional histone modifications. I have also performed a genetic screen to identify addition genetic interactors of PWR, and have used forward genetics based approach to map potential loci in two independent mutants.
