This research primarily focuses on Australia’s unconventional oil, natural gas and geothermal energy sectors. The findings of this study provide solutions to the rapid decline rate observed during the initial energy recovery from unconventional energy reserves. This study also involves maximizing the recovery output from a selected unconventional reservoir by minimizing two critical reservoir damage mechanisms; proppant crushing and proppant embedment.
