Lung cancer is the most lethal cancer worldwide. There are no effective therapies to cure this disease due to some reasons, including severe side effects and drug resistance. Thus, there is an urgent need to investigate further the underlying mechanisms of lung cancer to develop effective therapies for lung cancer patients. This thesis has identified AIM2 (protein) to play a carcinogenic role in lung cancer. The carcinogenic role of AIM2 enhances our understanding of lung cancer and presents AIM2 as a key player in promoting lung cancer.
